Specials & changing seasons

Into the autumn with a bump today, Monday, as the relevance of the hour change backwards becomes apparent with darker evenings. We have a delicious chilli fest for our specials this week and with the colder days we’ve been having these seem very apt. Details on the menu below, available for lunch and supper home delivery or to eat in the cafe.

The seasonal change most apparent on the riverside view from the cafe since our holiday has been the changing colours and shedding of leaves. It adds a new dimension to watching wildlife. The environment agency bailiffs (!?) have been monitoring the salmon run this winter on the Teme, from very near the cafe at the horseshoe weir. There’s a brief video clip here if you would like to see it.

We have had several sightings of otters nearby over the last month also. About 4 weeks ago there was a female and 2 cubs splashing about where the leet meets the main river just at the bottom of the garden, and customers have told me they have seen them further upstream too.  There’s always something to catch your eye down here.

We’re open in the morning for coffee, fresh baked pastries, delicious cakes and cooked breakfasts. If you are coming to us for a meal we recommend you book a table to avoid disappointment. We serve lunch in the cafe from 12 to 2 PM, and home or work delivery for lunch and supper. For lunchtime delivery phone before 11.00AM or supper delivery phone before 3.00PM. Also you can order in advance of the day you would like a delivery. The number to call is 07983 941856. If you’re connected to the answer phone when you call please leave a message and we WILL call you back.
